SM41-254 at Stargard Szczecinski
Komentarz: SM41-254 at Stargard turntable. At 20.08.1994 it was my first visit at Stargard Szcz. roundhouse. I was very astonished, that I still found two operational SM41's (SM41-126 and 254) there. Both of them stand inside the house but not really nice on a dark place. So I asked one of the staff for moving the old Lady into the light. He willingly did - and I'm very thankful to him.

Cool!

Do you have more pictures from Stargard? It's just awesome... A working turntable... Now that place is owned by PKP Energetyka and there's no locomotives in the roundhouse. :(

I have!

Hello,

I have several SP/SM42 photographed in the area of Stargard Szcz. roundhouse. Some ST44 as well - but most of them stand derelict on a side track. Lots of wrecks stand around the second turntable. But please let me some time for scanning the negatives. Nearly 98% of my collection are b/w negatives - but they are extremely complex in scanning, because automatic dust and scracht removal will not work. I will put it on my ToDo list!

Best regards Alex

If you were taking pictures in Stargard maybe you have some pictures of trains from Stargard to Pila?

.

Hello,

Unfortunately in the 90ies my focus was visiting as much as possible locomotive depots and get as much as possible different locomotives on film. Pictures on railway lines I made more occasionnally than planned.
I changed this behaviour beginning 2000 to photograph on lines - often too late, I know. I have some pictures taken shortly before closure of Pila - Stargard with SP42, but more I did later with SP42 and single Bonanza between Stargard and Kalisz Pom. Unfortunately between Kalisz Pom. and Walcz I have nothing.

Best regards
Alex
